I would like to acknowledge that as a resident of Saskatoon, I reside on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis. I pay our respect to the First Nations and Métis ancestors of this place and reaffirm our relationship with one another. I am grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us I acknowledge that I have benefited at the cost of the Indigenous peoples of this land, and as an educator, I am committed to creating culturally responsive classrooms that honor Indigenous knowledge and ways of being as part of my participation in reconciliation.
